carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will FULFILl the law of christ
Galatians 6:2
The Pastoral Care Team at APCH aims to help the Church grow in the biblical vision that it’s not just one or two people who are paid to care for the church. Rather, the whole church is called to care for each other. The team doesn't meet to ask, "Whom shall each of us visit?"; rather, it is asking, "Here at APCH, who is caring for whom? What groups support one another? and How can we help the broader church care for each other?"
There are unusual times when the Lay Pastoral Care Team members or a pastor need to attend to members--we try to be alert to those times. But the biblical concept of the church is that God gives each of us the gifts and calling for ministry: for listening, caring, guiding and helping, so that we love one another.
