John the Baptist declared the arrival of the Messiah. But after landing in Herod's dungeon, he asks Jesus, "Are you really the One?" Jesus' answer: "just look at what I am doing to usher in the Kingdom." Those "doings" are what we his disciples are called to perpetuate.
