Not all of the Churches that Paul wrote to were selfish and dysfunctional. There were some that managed to follow Christ well and build a good reputation. One such Church was in the city of Thessalonica, where Christians were forced to pay “security money” to enemies who threatened them. In response to their troubles, Paul encourages the Thessalonians believers to continue being the good Church that they are.
