Psalm 89 is a psalm of extremes. The psalmist starts with a joyful song remembering God’s covenant love and faithfulness. But he ends with a lament. His honest, raw prayer models for us that when faith and doubt, promise and reality, painfully collide, we don’t need to hide our confusion and pain. Not from others, but definitely not from God.
